    Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center
    Dr. Gerardo M. Aquino Jr. - Chief
     
      Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center is a general, tertiary medical
    center, teaching and training facility owned by the Philippine Government.
    Its operations started as early as 1911 as Hospital del Sur or Southern
    Islands Hospital. It was formally established on April 11, 1931 and was
    granted legal status through R.A. 2725. At ninety four (94) years old, this
    hospital stands proud as the largest government medical center south of
    Manila.
       
      With only 30 beds at its inception, the then SIMC progressed to a 400-bed
    medical with a complement of almost 500 beds. It is also a recipient of the
    JICA program and through an OPD building is constructed. This building is
    equipped with state of the art medical diagnostic equipment.
     
     
    Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital
    Dr. Nenita Po - Chief
       
      The Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital is the regional training
    and teaching hospital of the DOH-CHD 7. Formerly named the Bohol Provincial ,
    it was constructed to take care of the health needs of the people of Bohol as
    mandated by Republic Act # 3114 and designated as a Regional Hospital for
    Region 7 per Administrative Order No. 83 s. 1980. In 1992, the bed capacity was
    increased from 200 to 225 to accomodate the increasing number of clients.
       
     
    Eversley Childs Sanitarium and Hospital
    Dr. Primo joel Alvez - Chief
       
      Eversley Childs Sanitarium is a 500-bed, secondary, special government
    hospital in Barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City mandated to administer care
    and treatment of Hansens cases. It is also directed to provide basic health
    services to non-hansens cases. This institution also provides medical, dental,
    pedia, mini-surgery, EENT and lying-in clinic in the out-patient service area.
    It has also physical therapy and rehabilitation program for leprosy patient.
     
     
    St. Anthony Mother and Child Hospital
    Dr. Robert Denopol - Chief
     
      The Saint Anthony Mother & Child Hospital, formerly the Vincente Sotto
    Memorial Medical Center Extension I, has been existing since 1991 operating
    initially as an out-patient service. In 1994, it became an independent 25-bed
    hospital providing obstetrics, gynecologic and pediatric care to the urban
    poor of South District of Cebu and its neighboring municipalities. In 1998 the
    construction of a Birthing Center with a 2 rooms and a kitchen was completed
    and is at present operational.
   
     
    Talisay District Hospital
    Dr. Manuel Bacaresas - Chief
     
      The Talisay District Hospital is a 25-bed capacity located at San Isidro,
    Talisay, south district of Cebu. Last February 14, 1999, the hospital operated
    in an out-patient capacity. In August 5, 1999, it was formally inagurated by
    no less than the Hon. President Joseph Ejercito Estrada and formal operation
    also started. The hospital is nationally funded and presently implementing a
    10-bed general hospital.
     
   
    Don Emilio del Valle Memorial Hospital
    Dr. Elpidio Bonita - Chief
     
      Don Emilio del Valle Memorial Hospital is a 50-bed capacity hospital located
    at Ubay, Bohol. It is an extension hospital of Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial     Hospital (GCGMH) and was realized through the initiative of the before Congressman Enrico Aumentado. Last July 7, 1999, the hospital operated in an out-patient capacity. Staff from GCGMH managed the OPD operations, supplies and materials are   also catered from Gallares. The hospital was evaluated on the basis of operations activities and was given license to operate last June 3, 2003 as an   Infirmary (Primary) Health Facility with 27 authorized bed capacity.

In the concept of Primary Health Care, Don Emilio del Valle Memorial Hospital   will be a referral hospital providing comprehensive, efficient, effective hospital health service from compassionate, competent and committed personnel to a catchment area on the Eastern side of Bohol.

As a referral hospital, Don Emilio del Valle Memorial Hospital is committed to   uphold the concept of “Sentrong Sigla” ideal of DOH, attained proficient surgical capabilities to answer hospital health needs of the communities/catchment’s area in advocacy of District Health System.
